~History/RP Sample~ History/Background Story: - Spoiler:
For as long as he could remember, Vash was always alone. He never knew the joy of a family, cursed to live without the knowledge of where he came from. The life of an orphan wasn't easy for Vash. In his youth he acted and looked differently than he does now. He was a scrawny little kid. He was more withdrawn with other kids in the orphanage because he was bullied by some of the older kids. It was because of those bullies that Vash chose to become a ninja.
He worked hard to get into the academy, going as far as to beg to be allowed to go. He even fought senior students of the academy to try and force people to acknowledge that he could be a ninja. He got his ass kicked more then he actually won. But the fact that he could go toe to toe with some students impressed some of the Instructor to give him the finally push he need to be allowed to go into the academy.
It was during the academy that Vash made his first real friend, Takeshi. They were put together as training partners in the academy. Out of the two of them, Takeshi had shown the most skill in his ninja training. Vash was fine with this, as he used most of the things he was learning in the academy to take vengeance on the kids that had bullied him. Takeshi would also help vash knock a few of them around. Vash wished that these days would never end.
And like how things that go up will come back down, so did the days in the academy. The day for graduation was a happy day for many a hopeful Genin. The class Instructors had the class an exam that had the class going over everything that was taught in their time at the academy. Both Vash and Takeshi passed the exam, Vash even impressed the Instructors with how well he did. That was the last happy moment of his childhood. When they were told that they would be fighting to the death with the person they've been partner with put a cold feeling in the pit of vash's stomach.
Some of the students didn't want to go through with it. Vash almost joined them, till the ones that tried to walk out were killed on the spot by the Instructors. At that point it hit home to those in the room that they would have to kill someone to leave the room alive, but Vash didn't give up hope so quickly. He was going to suggest to Takeshi that they could try and take out the Instructors. When he had to dodge a slash from a kunai. When he saw that it was Takeshi that was attacking him, something must have snapped inside Vash's head. The next thing Vash remembers is standing in a room full of dead bodies. The day Vash became a full fledged ninja, he had already killed twenty-one Genin hopefuls and two Chunin Instructors. Vash was giving the rank of Chunin for killing so many.
Throughout his Chunin career, Vash kept himself from working with others. He would always take solo missions with high risk. Vash was at his lowest at this point of his life. Looking for a mission that would get him killed. But he always fought back on those mission. Always trying to find a reason to keep going. Then the day came that he was giving the chance to become an Jonin after five years as an Chunin.
His career as an Jonin didn't last long. Not even a week past before he went and joined the Kirigakure ANBU forces. It would be in ANBU that Vash's life would change in ways that he would never have imagine.
Being in ANBU was the first time in Vash's career that he was forced to work with other Kiri-nin and where he fell in love with Kenjutsu. The moment he was giving the standard tantō he felt more complete, but it still felt like something was missing.
Roleplay Sample:- Spoiler:
It was dark, the moon and stars blocked out by the overcast skies pouring down onto the land. The only light coming from the flash of distant lightning casting hard shadows on the area, and the nearby village. This village lay in the land of Rivers, a large castle could be seen inside its walls. Standing in a tall tree outside the village was a silhouette of a person with some kind of large object on their back. "I Hate fucking stealth missions." A distinct male voice said. Vash then jumped out of the tree and made his way towards the village walls.
The rain would help cover the sound of his approach, while the clouds blocked out the light from the moon and the stars. Vash stopped outside the walls to hear if the alarm was raised. When all he heard was one of the guards complaining about the rain. Vash jumped up and landed on the wall behind the guard. Without making a sound, Vash brought out a kunai. The guard in front of him would soon find it hard to breath with a piece of metal in his neck. Letting the body fall Vash continued going farther into the village.
The streets of the village were empty. The villagers having already turned in for the night. Most of the guards on duty for the night were either on the wall or at the Daimyo palace. He didn't even need to hide once past the main wall. He was so glad that there were no other ninja in this village. If he stayed away from the palace, he could wander around the village all night long without being caught. But his mission was to take him inside the palace.
He headed toward the Daimyo's palace. He didn't know what his game plan for entering the palace was going to be. He probably wasn't the best choice for this kind of mission. He wasn't that great at Stealth and assassination. He was more for the whole thrill of straight up battle. he hated this whole cloak and dagger shit. He turned into a alley in between two buildings, blending into the shadows. He started to watch the walls of the palace from the shadow of the alleyway. The security here was way better than at the village walls. There weren't any holes in security that he could really use. What holes he did see were so small that he'd have to use a lot of luck, which was something he didn't seem to have a lot of. So he had two options on what to do. Option one, he could either go in loud and fail his mission before making it to the door, something he wasn't even going to try. Option two pull off a fucking miracle.
Just as that thought crossed his mind a loud roar could be heard and the ground shook as huge explosion on the other side of the palace, ripping apart a section of the wall. Vash could see the plume of smoke coming up from across from him. Immediately the village was alive with activity. Nearly every able body guard was heading over toward the site of the explosion with weapons drawn. This left the area Vash was at clear for him to cross over. Vash was surprised when that giant explosion happened when he needed something like that to clear the way for him. 'I would also like a couple thousand ryo, and several woman.' He though, hoping that he was just granted some kind of awesome power to make things real. Unfortunately nothing else happened.
He quickly jumped on top of the palace walls. Taking a look around to make sure no one was around to stop him, but he knew that there were no one around. This village guard was so easy to predict. They were all at the site of the explosion. He couldn't really blame them for that, it was how they were trained. That was a reason he liked missions that took him to places like this. If this was a ninja village things would have happened differently. Vash reach into a small pouch on his side and brought something out. It was a plain ANBU mask that he was giving for this mission.
Placing the mask on Vash dropped into the courtyard and dashed toward the closest entrance that he could reach. He was heading toward a multi-lit style of window. Vash quickly jumped up and covered his face with his arms as he sailed through the window. Glass went flying through the air as Vash rolled on the ground to soften his fall. Looking around to see where he was. he was kneeling in the middle of a lavishly decorated hallway. He was alone, but he could see a light source moving towards him around a corner. He headed over toward the corner and waited for whoever to come around.
Bringing another kunai out just in case whoever was making their way down here was hostile. He watched as a man in a fancy suit quickly came around the corner. He looked to be a palace servant. Vash quickly garbed the servant by the collar and slammed him into the wall. Causing the candle he was carrying to fall on top of a rug. The flame was starting to burn the fabric, but it hasn't caught yet.
"Which way towards the Daimyo?" Vash asked the man he had pinned against the wall. The servant kept looking between Vash and the candle. Vash slammed him again. "The quicker you tell me, the quicker you can stop that candle from burning this place down."
"W-w-why are you looking for Lord Keisuke?" The servant squeaked out "Are you the one that blew up the front gate?" That question almost made Vash laugh. He was glad for the mask covering his face. he quickly composed himself and with much effort to keep his voice straight answered the little man in his grasp. "So you've notice that huh." He needed it to be believed that he was a part of whoever was attacking the palace. "Now answered the question, which way?" Pressing the kunai in his hand toward the man's neck to empathize the point.
It was at that time the small flame on the candle decided to spread to the rug on the floor. The smoke from the now lit rug was beginning to fill the hallway. The flames were licking the walls of the hallway. Desperately trying to consume the decorated surface. The Servant in his grasp started to struggle more at the slight of the orange flames. "THE EAST WING, THE EAST WING! PLEASE LET ME GO, I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" The small man shirked in terror. If he wasn't wearing a mask, the small man would have been able to see the smirk that was on Vash's face.
"Sure, no problem." Vash answer in a chirpy manner, before throwing the man through one of the many windows along the hallway. The man screamed as he flew through the air and busting the glass of the window before losing consciousness when his head hit the ground.
Ignoring the fire that was quickly taking over this part of the castle, Vash started to make his way toward the east wing and hopefully his target. The castle hallways were empty of any person that might have try to stop Vash, key word being try. It made him wonder where everyone was at. he would have expected the castle to be alive with people running for dear life. It was kind of hard not to panic when your front door exploded in the middle of the night. He didn't have to wonder for much longer. The moment that he turned another corner he came onto a sight that would have left must people sick. Luckily or unluckily, however you wanted to see it, ninja weren't most people. There was bodies strewn about the hallway. Most of them looked like other servants, but there were a few guards in the mix. The thing that caught his eye though was how some of these people died, impaled by some stone spears that broke through the floor. Now Vash might not be the brightest of people, but even he knew that there was some ninja around. He would also bet a hundred ryo that whoever killed these people, was also the person or persons that caused that explosion. Which would mean he could have some fun.
It wasn't going to be that hard to find the ninja(s) that was running amuck inside the castle. All Vash had to do was follow the bodies, and those bodies lead him to a room with its door broking off its frame. sneaking up to the broken door, he leaned toward the door and started to listen. "Why do I have to carry the fat fuck." A distinct male voice whined. "Because I told you too." A feminine voice replied in a matter-of-fact type of tone. He could hear the first voice mumble something as shuffling could be heard inside the room. Vash backed up a bit as the broken door was opened up and two people walked out with one of them carrying another person.
Both of them froze when they saw the mask wearing Vash standing in the hallway. The first one to exit the room was the female ninja. She had short black hair with a small pony tail sticking up on the right side of her head. She had an dark green shirt with a brown flak jacket open in the front, helping to show off the outline of her sizable bust. Along with beige color shorts with a kunai pouch on her left leg.
The second person that came out was holding a slightly chubby man in expensive looking clothing on his shoulders. The man holding the other man had light brown hair that went to his shoulders and small goatee around his mouth. He was wearing a dark grey shirt and Blue cargo pants. He had a tantō blade strapped to his back. The only piece of clothing that was the same on the two would be their Hitai-ate. These two were both from Iwagakure, The Village hidden by rocks.
They both had that deer in the headlight look on their face. He so wish he had an camera to save this moment forever, oh well. "Yo." He said with a half wave of his hand. That simple greeting seemed to get their brains working again. The female ninja went for her kunai pouch while the male ninja dropped the man on his shoulders on the ground and drew his tantō. Before either one could get their weapons to bear, Vash brought up a single hand up in a half ram sign. The hallway they were in started to get colder as their breath could now be seen and a thin mist was starting to appear. The male ninja started to charge Vash, with each step he took the mist got thicker and thicker. before he even made it to Vash the mist became thick enough for Vash to disappear into.
The male Iwa ninja made his way back to his partner. Both trying to see through the mist to locate the masked ninja that ran into. " liver, lungs, spine, clavia vein, neck vein, brain, kidneys and heart. Which one of these should I attack first?" They heard His voice as if he was all around them. Both of them got back to back so they could better protect themselves. "Can you see anything Junko-san?" The Male ninja asked. scanning the mist covered area in front of him. "Junko-san?" He asked again when he didn't hear a reply. He turned his head to look back to see why she wasn't answering him. All he saw was just the other end of the mist filled hallway. No Junko, not even the person that he had been carrying. He was all alone in that place. The color in his face started to drain, his hands were getting wetter and his breath started to pick up as he started to hyperventilate. "W-w-what's going on?" was the last thing he said before blackness over took him.
The mist dissipated before the now headless body could hit the floor. Vash stood in the hallway by the headless body. The person that they had tied up on his left shoulder. The now indentified Junko was laying in a pool of blood, her body torn in two at the waist. Vash walked back into the room the two Iwa ninja exited form. He placed the man on his shoulder down and took off the gag in his mouth. "T-thank you stranger. I owe you my life for saving me." He took a small break to catch his breath a little before continuing. "You have my word as the Daimyo of the land of valleys that you will be grea-" was as far he got before a kunai found itself buried in his neck.
Vash then cut the rest of the ropes on the Daimyo before stabbing the body a few more times before letting it drop onto the floor of the room. He then back track down the hall and grab a couple guards corpses and placing them in a way as to make it look like they kill the two ninja outside the room. Hopefully whenever the other guard decided to check up on this part of the castle, they would believe there was more than these two ninja that made it inside. With the finishing touches to the scene done, Vash felt it was time to leave. Hopefully he could get back home in a couple of days.
